Lawns help cool our environment.

They consume carbon dioxide and release oxygen - just like all plants.

Be confident that you can work with the environment and still have a healthy, flourishing lawn.

Bee's buzz beats electric wand

In a greenhouse experiment, flowers given a single buzz by an Australian bee produced tomatoes that were more than 10% heavier than those that were vibrated with an electric wand.

... And the bee-pollinated tomatoes also had significantly more seeds than the wand pollinated tomatoes.

Refer Blue Banded Bee Pollination Trials at Adelaide Uni, September 2006.

Invite bees into your garden with flowering plants such as borage, thyme, lavender, bergamot and buddleia.

Protect bees when you spray your flowers. For example, use Defender™ MaxGuard®, which is 100 times less toxic to bees than its closest competitor.

Some tips from Scotts

Roundup® is a fast-acting herbicide that you can use safely around your garden and around pets.

Treat bindii in the lawn before they have a chance to develop their painful seed-bearing prickles. Lawn Builder™ with Weedkill can do the job.
